Recommendations for New Macbook Pro

I am running DP8 and an assortment of plug-ins and while my 2007 MBP has been great, it just won't keep up any longer. I'm wondering what I should be looking at in terms of a new MBP. For example, is there any feature I should be careful to avoid or a processor that I definitely want to have? Budget is around $1,500.00.
Thanks.

Spend the extra $300 for the i7 CPU. Certain DP functions such as opening large files go much faster due to its FPU functionality while others perform no differently than the i5.
Some in the Refurb Store have i7 chip sets and Flash storage at or near your price point.

You can't upgrade the RAM on a MB-P with Retina Display; only those without.

Flash storage ... I can't imagine getting a laptop without it, nowadays. Unlike RAM, this is upgradeable per OWC on the 2012- early 2013 models. They expect to have an upgrade for the late 2013 models soon.
