DP8.06 Paste Repeat does Merge Repeat? corrected

In SE or GE in DP8.06, when using Paste Repeat in a single track, the data in the clipboard does NOT overwrite existing track data, it merges the data as if the Merge Repeat command was invoked. Every time here. Can someone confirm this? Thanks.

not sure what you mean by paste multiple?

Just tried copying and pasting in TO window. 4 bars in 4 tracks, then pasted them into bars 3-5. Overwrites here...

If you hold the option key and click on the Edit menu you will see all the 'Multiple' paste/merge with their key commands.

My mistake, the command I was referring to is Edit>Paste Repeat not Paste Multiple. I'll have to test Paste Multiple. Sorry about the confusion.

I've noticed this too ever since DP8 showed up. I think it's a bit more useful like this, but having the option to paste would be nice.

Confirmed. I have one bar copied and use "paste repeat" having selected the next 7 bars.

Only the first bar is replaced. The next 6 are merged.

I'm new to Digital Performer as of DP8 so I wasn't sure it was a bug. However, if I wanted the behavior it is doing, I would have used "merge repeat".

According to the manual. (which states "paste" always replaces)
