How to create custom patchlist??

Hello

I just bought the Roland FA-08 and there seems to be no official patchlist available. I visited the MOTU website and their link seems a bit dated:

http://www.motu.com/techsupport/technot ... 6220627643

The newer versions of DP don't have a Freemidi folder where all these items are cited..I want all the names of my keyboards sounds quickly accessible from DP when I click on patches.
I don't mind learning fast and creating it from scratch. What is the easiest and/or best way to accomplish this? Thanks for your help!

There was a thread about this maybe a year or two ago. And we were talking about taking an existing patchlist, and using something like textedit to just revise the list. Let me see if I can find it. It is definitely doable. Though it would be nice if some kind of macro could request patchnames from the roland and have the roland just spit-em out. Perhaps you can find a patch list in some pdf document or manual appendix.

try searching "midnam" with or without adding "patchlist". There's a few. Looks like editing midnam files is the way to go.

Maybe you can poke Roland tech support to update their Patch Script Builder found here: http://www.rolandus.com/support/patch_script_builder to include the newer models. Also, there might be a synth in there somewhere with similar patches and banking that could be a good starting point to create your own.
