Siri is smart

Just to see how it would respond I told Siri "you have a sexy voice" it came back with "I am glade you think so". LOL
Although some times Siri does asume to know what I am saying and gets it wrong, must be my mix of Boston and West coast.
I remember when voice recognition was new and how bad it was, you had to teach it to get used to your voice, now it is almost human, hell better than some.

I routinely swear at her and she is starting to get defensive. I'd leave her if her oral skills weren't so good.

Yeah, I think she learns. I do the opposite, I'm constantly saying, "Thank you, Siri." or "Good job, honey." I'm hoping this will mean her oral skills get even better.

I've had her number from the start. I'm just using her for her contacts.

Try telling Siri you love her. She has several comical responses.
I also love it when I ask her the time and she says, "At the tone, the time will be ______ AM. (Pause, about a beat and a half). Beep."

I am going to ask her out on a date. I was told she is a server, I will ask what bar she works in.

Siri is quite useful. I don't type anything into Google anymore, at least not on the iPad or iPhone. Just ask her how many dollars are in $xx euros, or how many tablespoons in a cup, and that sort of thing. She converts things on the spot, and saves you a lot of trouble! It feels a little like Star Trek, asking the computer things, and she answers you.
If you download the Wolfram Alpha app, Siri can give you more detailed responses. Her abilities are no laughing matter. It's predictable and fun that the initial responses to her would be jokes about her mistakes or her canned responses to overtures of love, etc., but the bigger picture is that "the future" has arrived. We're talking to computers, they are talking back, and it's not junk; it's freaking useful stuff! Blows my mind every time I use Siri to look up something, to call someone, or even just to tell me the time. (sometimes I don't have my glasses on, and I can't make out the time, so I just ask her)
