DP8 and Tascam FW-1884

Post by morango01 »

Hi,
I'm new to DP8 and after good reviews on the DAW I decided to test the demo version to see for myself and to develop my tracks with third party plugins. I am currently working with Reason 7 and a Tascam FW-1884. The FW-1884 is used in Mackie HUI Emulation and functioning superbly in Reason 7 (I work with Reason since 5) and I never had audio or sync problems with the FW-1884. Under DP8 I receive the following error message when I change audio driver to FW-1884 :

'Digital Performer has encountered an error.
The audio hardware is in an invalid or unsupported mode. Check that
the device is not in use by another application or Windows.
FW884 Create fails '

My setup is:
Asus Workstation 6-core cpu
Windows 7 Professionnal 64bit
16gb memory
Reason 7
Tascam FW-1884 (asio driver installed for Windows 64bit)

If DP8 does not recognize the FW-1884 (for audio, MIDI, and control surface), Is there a way the set it up as a Mackie HUI Emulation like in Propellerheads Reason? I want to use the Asio FW-1884 because working with this one is the most stable comparing to WASAPI for example or Asio4all.

Thanks for any help or information.
