PCIe-424 with multiple HD192s

Hello,
I have a couple of questions regarding use of a PCIe-424 and multiple HD192s on a 64-bit Win7 or Win8 system. I am looking into purchasing these pieces of kit in the near future but wanted some clarification on a few points beforehand.
First off, I see the occasional reference to WASAPI drivers for the PCIe-424 in my Google searches, but nothing about them directly from MOTU; their documentation only lists ASIO and WDM. Are there WASAPI drivers available for the PCIe-424 on Windows 7 or 8 ?
Second, when using multiple HD192s (two for example) connected to a single PCIe-424, do these show up as a single 24-channel audio device or two 12-channel audio devices in the Windows Sound Manager etc? The MOTU documentation isn't clear on this. I would assume since the HD192s are connected to a single PCIe-424 that the drivers would present a single 24-channel audio device vs. two 12-channel audio devices. Or perhaps they do something completely different?
Thanks in advance for your time.
cheers,
g.
