Questions about DP8 on Windows...

So I've got a few questions about DP8 - I posted here months ago when I was using the trial, but have since purchased the software and have some queries.
I have a 30 day money back guarantee and I really hope I don't have to use it - I love a lot of DP's features - but I know Cubase is at least stable and has none of the problems listed above.
Thanks!
- Why must automation be manually enabled on MIDI tracks? Surely if I've inputted automation I want DP to automatically read it without an extra couple of clicks. Is there an option to make this happen automatically?
- When I double-click a track in the "Tracks" window, it opens in the "MIDI" consolidated window. Is there a way to automatically arm this track so I can hear it when I click the notes? The following image is what I'm talking about, is there a way to auto-arm this "record enable" when I open the track in the MIDI window? Is there a way to simultaneously arm all MIDI tracks?
- Is there a way to edit multiple MIDI tracks at once? Say I have a C chord and I want it to be on D. I know the "Transpose" feature does this, but what if I also wanted to extend the length of all the MIDI notes by the same length? It's annoying having to go into every individual MIDI track. Cubase allows you to edit multiple MIDI tracks at once, can DP?
- Is there a way to "clean up" what appears under the "Output" option in the tracks menu? As you can see in the image below, the majority of the options presented are for effects tracks that I don't want to always have to sort through. Can I change the order these appear in, at least?
- Why can't I use the pencil tool to draw in on velocities? Not the "straight line" too, the pencil tool. Why can't I alter the velocities of only the selected notes (see image)?
- Why is the general performance of DP on Windows so bad? I've asked this before, but it's just terrible. The latency of almost a whole second when I press Play/Stop, dropouts occurring with barely any samples loaded. I'm using ASIO drivers set at about 512ms latency. I've heard so much about how DP is a great powerhouse on Mac, and I'm wondering if this is how it performs on Mac or if the Windows is just experiencing teething problems which will be fixed with updates/later versions? I've used Cubase 5 for years and it was much smoother to work with, and as you can see in my signature my system specs should be well up to standard for good playback. Anyone have any experience with this/any helpful pointers to help me out?
