Tonight at 9PM PST (midnight EST) on TCM I have a 10 minute cartoon I scored called The Happy Go Luckies which should probably air in the first half hour or so of the broadcast.

Next week, I get the whole two and a half hours to myself. ☺ IOW, I scored everything on TCM between 9PM and 11:30 that night. Listing here:

Of course, all done in DP. The recording of Alfred hitchcock's The White Shadow was recorded at Big City Recording, who is a member here. Thank you Frodo for suggesting this as a studio to do the piano & violin acoustic tracks.

Hope you guys and gals can watch. As Betty Compson seems to be saying... "please watch!

Movies from the 1920s and before? DP really has been around for a while...

:D :D :D :D :D

Or how's this one:
I knew you're old, but I didn't know you're that old…

:smash: :smash: :smash:

One more, cuz I'm on a roll...:
I tried to email MOTU tech support, but they hadn't invented the internet yet. When I suggested we get a move on, President Wilson replied, the inter-WHAT?!?

:arrrr: :boohoo: :unicorn:

Try the veal! Don't forget to tip the waitress!

JUST KIDDING!!!! I'm a big fan of silent films (Dreyer's Joan of Arc!!!) and envy you for your gigs scoring those. Congrats on hogging an entire evening on a cable network! Looking forward to checking them out.

Thanks man. The animation went well but had a bad case of the flickers that wasn't on the DVD.

I've played Joan of Arc years ago at the Getty. Powerful and unique film. I just bought a used DAT today to archive 20+ years of recorded performances. Both my DAT players went south. Arrrtgh!

Some guy was selling a Pano SV-3700 for $100 on Craigslist today. I wonder if he'll get that much! LOL I still have my 3700 in a closet on the off-chance I'll have to recover something off DAT. I'd get so little for selling it I don't bother. I think I paid about $1200 for it in the 90s!

Yep, my top-end Sony isn't worth a nickel. I bought it used for 800 bucks and it didn't even have 10 hours on it. I still have it racked up, but I haven't turned it on in... four years?

Wish I could see the show, MLC.... we went all Roku three years ago and turned off the cable.

I've cut my cable back because I don't watch it much anymore and TCM was one of the channels to go.
Let me know if it runs somewhere else.
Or can you get TCM online?

Mike, what is the name of that classical piece they always use to run behind Farmer Alfalfa cartoons on channel 7 at 7 o'clock in the morning back when we were growing up?

Obviously a Dadaist tune. The best I can figure is that it might be the same tune used for the Little Rascals in this clip. The entire movie is on YouTube. I don't recall the title but it appears to either be an excerpt for a late 19th Century opera such as La Gioconda (Ponchielli) or a ballet by the likes of . They were very fond of using the music of Nevin, especially Narcissus as well as the music of Delibes or Minkus.

So I got the popcorn popped, poured a drink and----- finally dawned on me you said PST:-( I tried to stay up but couldn't do it. I don't have a DVR anymore so I couldn't record it. What a great gig you have though in so many ways!! Will it run again?
