Hi

I have just purchased machfive 3 and installed

my main computer runs under widows 8 x64, using ableton and studio one
the standalone and the the VST versions takes time to show up (5-10 minutes) ; the x64 standalone isn't working at all (the3.2 but the 3.01 works !)

after loading,it's working good i hve tried under the same computer with an old session of windows 7 x64, no problems, and with a second computer running windows 8.1 x64, no problems

my ilok key has other software without problems (max/msp)

what can i check ? the are only the ufs provided with machfive, and indexing options and automount are disabled

have updated to windows 8.1 , no changes

one strange thing is that i have tried to find a solution at work and i ve connected to that computer using remote desktop

and in rdp mode, loading the standalone or the vst is faster !

vst loads in 7 or 8 seconds, and the standalone in 3 minutes

the soundcard is a track 16 ....

anybody has an idea ??

the guilty was ..... my CDROM drive, which i never use !!!

i disconnect it and all happens good

maybe that's it or the micro jm36 controller on the motherboard, don't know ....

I'm on a Mac pro but also have MachFive 3 and a Track 16. Just love 'em to death!

Cool! Marking it resolved and now getting off the board and having a real life for a while.
