Back in April, when I was first setting up my new computer, I installed RealGuitar 2.3L and tested it and it was working. Now I need to use it on a project and I got this error message when I tried to instantiate it in DP:
Digital Performer has encountered an error.
Mas,0 error reported by Mas Audio Unit Support
Failure: Base::New 160-10847 [-10847]
Thinking a DP upgrade in the intervening months may have broken it, I tried earlier version of DP (8.03, 8.02, etc.), but same error.
Then I thought, maybe I could get the VST version to work, but I'm not sure how to do this.
I disabled the AU version in Preferences->Audio Plug-ins.
I checked in HD->Library-Audio-Plugins, and I see 3 different VST versions of RealGuitar2 in there.
In the VST folder there is:
RealGuitar.vst
RealGuitar2.vst
Then in the VST2 folder there is:
RealGuitar.vst3
But I can't DP to see or load any of these. How do I do that? Which of these 3 versions is the 64-bit one? Does DP support VST3?
I tried to re-enable the AU version and now it won't pass examination.
Can anyone help?
Quick solution may be to upgrade to RealGuitar 3, but that is a PAID upgrade, and I fear I'll spend money and then still have the same problem. Does anyone have RG 3 working w/ DP 8.0.4?
Got a huge impending deadline, and I'm running into all sorts of problems like this. Fun.

Thanks!
Babz
Also, FYI, I'm running 64-bit (and RealGuitar 2.3L supports 64-bit.)
