I agree ARA integration with Melodyne would be a nice addition. Your right this has been around for some time. I'm not sure DP actually needs it. I almost never use Melodyne anymore because DP's pitch correction tool works so well. It has been requested however.
My thoughts,

I have not had much success with DP pitch correction. As far as I can tell it has been a sore spot on this board for a while. Perhaps you might share how and what you have done to have success?

You might be referring to time stretching - the pitch correction works so well for me i pretty much never use Melodyne ever. I have Melodyne 2 btw.

I too would love this but it looks like a hell of a lot of work for any DAW programmer! The DAW has to completely interact with melodyne, giving and receiving control at all times. Given MOTU's slow responsiveness at times to 3rd party integration, and add add to that the fact that DP has it's OWN pitch correction technology, I would really be surprised to see this integrated. But I am hopeful.

Enquiring minds want to know.
I loved DP pitch correction through DP 5. Now I use AutoTune 7 or Izotope Nectar. I'm thinking about an upgrade to Nectar 2 because its pitch correction reminds me of how easy DP used to be.

Nothing special, just loaded it in and it worked on my G5 Os 10.63 DP 5.13. Took a look at it on my intel Dp 7 and seemed fine there. Just record track follow the manual. I must be lucky.

Must be.
Worked great on my G5 in DP 5.13, too.

I've lost at least four hours trying to diagnose why Melodyne Editor 2 thinks it isn't licensed on my computer (I even updated it a day or two ago) and why the iLok License Manager desktop app (which I updated on 30 October and which has no newer version) thinks it isn't available to authorize. I had to resort to sending an email to their support staff.
Celemony could do a much better job of writing clear English. I know it isn't their first language, but still... I can think of few products with a more convoluted process of installation and authorization as well as potential pitfalls since apparently the much more expensive Melodyne Studio 3 (which is far older but has a higher version number) contradicts the right to run a license of Editor and vice-versa even though neither is a complete superset of the other and each requires a separate purchase. On top of that, they keep changing their product names and how they are tiered. It's enough to make anyone's head spin!
Melodyne is literally the ONLY product I am having trouble with in Mavericks, aside from the now-it-works-now-it-doesn't SMTP problem with outgoing mail (I've once again had to resort to cut/paste of email to send replies via Google Webmail).

Are you sure about that?
I had a problem a few days ago. Checked for iLok License Manager updates - there were none. Finally, in frustration, I rebooted my Mac (always a Hail Mary, right?), restarted the iLok LM and it said there was an update available that had a bug fix for my problem (license version swap with Antares).
Do a Get Info. The current build is 2.2.3 GM (b1170, r24033)

Yep, that's the version I'm running, but that info might help others as they apparently did an update that overloaded an earlier version, and some systems may not see it as an update as a result.
I had three quick back-and-forth responses from Celemony's support staff at the end of their business day today and the beginning of their business day tomorrow (the latter just a few minutes ago). They were very courteous, focused, and helpful.
As others may be experiencing similar problems due to some interim state of their drivers during this bit of bootstrapping of Mavericks, the answer for me was to right-click on the iLok with the "bad license" and hit "Sync/Repair" from the context menu.
I was able to launch standalone Melodyne Singletrack and also use Melodyne Editor inside DP8 after doing that. I hadn't noticed that context menu or otherwise probably would have tried that on my own earlier. I'm also still not used to having to login to iLok for my licenses to be seen.
