[Solved] Mountain Lion, DP8 and Altiverb 7.05
Hey folks,
Just had to switch to Mountain Lion (new mac pro) Everything is a go except Altiverb 7.05. It shows as an AU in DP Preferences, but won't load. The MAS version is no where to be found.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Rik

Re: Mountain Lion, DP8 and Altiverb 7.05
I'm running the latest version of Altiverb under OS 10.8.3 and DP8.04 64 bit and it is functioning perfectly. Kubi reported just the other day 10.8.4 was working great for him, but I'm not sure if he runs Altiverb.
Re: Mountain Lion, DP8 and Altiverb 7.05
I do and it works perfectly, but I installed it from scratch (had been running Altiverb 6 in DP7.24 and OS 10.7 until I updated to DP8.04 OS10.8.4 just a couple of weeks ago.)
So maybe it has something to do with losing something in the course of upgrading the OS? Perhaps a simple re-install of Altiverb 7 would fix it?
As always, clone first, mess with stuff later.

Re: Mountain Lion, DP8 and Altiverb 7.05
Thanks guys,
Tried installing again and no luck. It is weird. The MAS version is nowhere to be found and the AU version is there, but won't load. Maybe I will try removing Altiverb from the library folder and reinstall and see what happens.
Thanks!
Rik

Good luck. I would be lost without my Altiverb.

Me too!HCMarkus wrote:Good luck. I would be lost without my Altiverb.
I made progress though! I deleted all the files from the System library and reinstalled. Got the AU instance to work, but still no luck the the MAS. Should not be a deal breaker though!

Are you running DP in 64-bit mode? That might be why you don't see a MAS version of Altiverb. I don't think many third party MAS plug ins are 64-bit ready. Try using the AU version instead.

I lost Altiverb settings in old projects 'cause I went from MAS to AU when moving to 64 bit. Antares settings were also hosed for me. If you are working on a lot of legacy projects, this may make you unhappy. I haven't had too many, so I'm just moving forward and not worrying about it.James Steele wrote:Are you running DP in 64-bit mode? That might be why you don't see a MAS version of Altiverb.
