Odd trackpad behavior when ultralite is connected

All of a sudden since yesterday my macbook pro started to be behave oddly when my paired ultralite mk3 hybrid + ultralite mk3 firewire is connected to my macbook pro via the firewire port. the trackpad turns less sensitive and jumps when i pass my finger and its almost impossible to control my laptop.
does anyone has any clue of what can be happening?
