Any alternative Machfive Forums??

Not to be rude but this forum is very VERY quiet.
I'm new to Machfive and was browsing the forums for answers to problems and questions only to find that many posts go ignored and unanswered. I couldn't find other forums for Machfive, maybe I'm looking in the wrong places...?
And for the record, why the hell don't MOTU have an official forum already??!

You posted three different questions in the last 24 hours. I don't know what kind of forums you visit but not many have a within an hour or so turn around. Help is given for free on user forums, so getting antsy about your questions being answered is generally seen as not so polite.

At least the forum is getting noisier. LOL.

Re: unanswered. It could be that because this is a user-run forum and so you're dealing with people who are busy and they do not work for MOTU, so anytime someone responds to a post or question, they are GIVING their own time to do so. Also, I don't know exactly why it works this way, but a lot of the people here are professional or semi-professional and earn all or some of their living this way and, as I said, aren't constantly scouring forums in their free time in order to answer questions.
Re: official forum already??! You'd have to ask MOTU about that one. Although it wouldn't logically follow that they'd have employees available to answer every Mach Five question within 24 hours.

Wait a minute...! I'm not employed by MOTU? Well, that would explain why I haven't gotten a check. Maybe they're paying me in Track 16s? That works.

First of all, I wasn't expecting instant replies. It was just an observation when I glanced over the older posts. Yes, I've made a few posts recently (mainly a few bumps & +1's to one or two 'dead' topics) but that's because I'm a new user. I wasn't trying to offend anybody and I appreciate the time any one gives to even the smallest reply.
I'm a member of several forums right now; Akai MPC Renasaince and NI Maschine to name just two. The activity on those forums is constant. New posts appear frequently and the feedback is from all walks, wether they be newly starting out, professional or everything in between.
With an instrument as deep as Machfive obviously is, it's a shame that the web hasn't embraced it as far as resources go. Very little on YouTube, very few in depth reviews from the indusry tech magazines like Soundonsound, very few forums etc. Just very little info in general. Compare this to Kontakts general web presence.
Anyway, I didn't mean to potentially offend the very people who's expertise I seek.

Not to worry. Personally I rarely post my own MOTU problems since they are few and far between. That says a lot about the apps in a good way. Lots of posts usually means lots of problems but if you throw pretty much any question out there, some goon like me will probably be more than happy to kick the tires.

I'd do another search on YouTube. MOTU has put several Mach Five videos online in recent months if I recall correctly.

Yup there are quite a few M53 videos on youtube, it's why I finally succumbed to the iLock and got Machfive!

I've checked them out, yes, they're very good! Highly recommended.
However I don't have kind words for the MacProVideo Digital Performer 8 201 -MachFive 3 Unleashed videos. They're very VERY basic. All it does is basically touch on what Machfive is capable of doing without going into any depth. It's like "Machfive has a SYNTH section, check it out!" That's it! Waste of money. Groove3's where much MUCH better.

The forum is alive and well. I normally will look in now and then and maybe offer some help however, being a fairly new M53 user I'm still getting my feet wet with the program and experiencing no issues I will add every time I fire this baby up I am impressed. Routing the instruments using Bundles makes life easy for MIDI to audio transfer.
My 2 cents - B.O.L.

Well, you did get one of those (in a drawing for those who don't know).
Hmmmm... I answer a lot of Mac questions around here... so perhaps Apple should do me a solid, right? Oh... wait a minute, I just got a son-in-law from the Cupertino mother ship. Nevermind...

Well that works for macs too. I won the G5 I used until about 2 years ago. LOL! Can't say I've never won anything... but I can say that the G5 was fantastic for the time and the track 16 is still fantastic.
