hi guys! i currently use presonus studio one v2 and wondered what the procedure in DP8 is for using outboard gear, studio one v2 has a plugin called pipeline for this that takes latency etc into account wasnt sure how to do this on Dp8 ive got compressors etc i want to use!!

i have posted this on the windows section as im using win 7 but just wondered if anyone who is using a mac based setup could help please?

DP doesn't have a hardware insert ala Pipeline. With DP, I use a pre-fader send and return it to an Aux or another Audio track. Then you'd mute the original track if you're not doing parallel. There may some third party plug out there that handles inserts, but I haven't looked.
