Andy - Mellow is having some problems in DP 8.02 - the selection buttons now have the text virtually invisible - say in preferences as below. They have possibly changed some text default - I am checking my custom themes but your mellow seems the most affected.

Same deal in Sharp.

The problem is not pervasive; it only exists in text on certain buttons in certain windows, particularly preferences, region actions such as transpose, change velocity, and so forth, and the buttons affected are those at the bottom, where you press "Apply," or "Revert" or "Cancel." With most of the affected AmpGUI themes, you can make out the words if you look closely. Only a couple are completely without contrast. Those themes are still usable if you can remember the positions of the buttons that say Apply or Cancel.

In any case, it's a quick fix. Andy will probably go in and change either the button color or the font color, and the problem will be eliminated.

The themes are still usable, and you're not in any danger of harming your files, other than by choosing to press the wrong button.

I use Oxidize, where there is no problem at all, and Gotham, where the problem exists, but there is enough contrast to make out the words on the buttons. While Andy will probably want to change that in Gotham, it's still 100% usable until he gets around to it.

Here is a list of current AmpGUI themes and some illustrations of how they look in DP8.02:
  • Mellow 8v7 - Obliteration of button labels is total in some windows: needs fixing. You may need to switch to one of those below while waiting for a fix. However, if you can remember which buttons mean what, you can still use this. Most of the interface is unaffected. The affected buttons are mainly those at the bottom of windows, signifying your choice of actions. (Apply, Cancel, etc.)

Oxidized 8v2 - Unaffected: No Problem at all
    Image Image

Gotham 8v2 - Partial problem; can still be used while waiting for a fix. Most buttons can easily be read, while only a few require a little closer look, but all can be read.

Clean V1 for DP8 - Partial problem; can still be used while waiting for a fix.
    Image Image

Sharp 8v2 - Problem exists, but the words are readable. Can be used while waiting for next version.

Mellow Gold 8v3 - Unaffected: No Problem at all

Warmer 8v2 - Unaffected: No Problem at all

So, while we all know that upgrades often break things, most of Andy's themes are still completely usable, and some are not affected at all.

I just watch because compared to my personal Themes and the reason for this phenomenon is related to this "kBigButtonIconSet_PictID.png" file in the "Resources" folder for each Theme .
A solution must be easily possible . 8)

EDIT: pushing research, I see a new image file has been introduced in each file Resources different basic Themes MOTU. His name is "kBigButtonIconSetNew_PictID" _
I'll try to modify it to see the result: if it concerns our problem, the solution is easy .

Yes - I am sure easily fixed by Andy - I was just alerting him to this which Shooshie has kindly given more detail - Andy will want to know as he is selling themes - it is not a criticism. Just one of the problems with updates!

I need to go in and look at things as like corbo billy I am sure I can fix this - if as he says there are new png files there may be other things to look out for, and on the Style.xml file too.
