What's NOT fixed in DP 8.02 [semi-resolved]

Sorry to say, but a few things remain unattended to...

1 - Bounce to disk to a Quicktime still doesn't offer any options, such as save as referenced movie.

2 - Waves Gold Ultrapitch and other pitch related plugs in that package still don't show up. They appear in the plugin (preferences) as passed and reexamining them they pass again, but they are M.I.A. in the Apply Audio and mixer/channel strip.

As time goes by, I'll report on any other issues. Please post any you might find here.

You know, I never noticed that about Ultrapitch because I don't use it... but that's odd. Is that for sure a DP problem, or something to hound Waves about?

Waves pitch plug-ins running fine for me.

The Waves pitch plug-ins are mono to mono or mono to stereo. They will not show up on stereo track or after a stereo plug-in.

There are no additional Bounce to Quicktime Movie options in DP8.

Movie video not fixed in 8.02

Jerky DP windows remain when viewing a movie.
EDIT: V/O audio out of sync on my machine in all versions of DP8 not just 8.02. Sorry for the earlier post.
Again, these projects were fine in 7.24! I know my Mac Pro is old but it is frustrating to have to work in 7.24 when working to picture. I'm saving my $$ for the next gen MP but maybe it would be helpful for MOTU to spec DP video card requirements for those who can't afford a new machine but would be able to upgrade their video card.

Thanks again, Dave. I'm sorry that saving to a referenced movie was dropped but it is what it is. I'm not sure what is going on with Waves as the plug works in DP7 and Bidule. Oh well, just one of those things.

Thanks for the update and good luck with the Windows release. THat is amazing and awesome and I hope, a game changer in the DAW world.

I had a window set where the Consolidated Window had a sidebar on the right with the mixer in - this was spread across both monitors in Full Screen mode. That still works in non-full screen normal mode but as soon as you select Full Screen the right hand screen goes blank and squashes my window set on the main screen - you can pop out the mixer but nothing will now spread across the 2 monitors. Its made full screen mode pretty useless - I want full screen but want to be able to stretch DP across both monitors. It worked before but not now. Any ideas?

If you hide Dock you can get close to the screen space of Full Screen but its not the same.....

I always hide the dock and don't use the CW across two monitors. But you can set windows that you want on the second monitor (popped out of the CW) and set that as the window set. It's not the same either, but there is very little difference in terms of actual usage from the way you were using it, AFAIK.

Not following when you say "no additional bounce to quicktime options" Does that still mean one can bounce to a Quicktime file, with picture and audio?

Also, does DV to Firewire work now or is that still a no go? Just curious.

May have to jump ship soon... SoundToys has all plugs in 64 bit beta... unlimited RAM access here I come. Ooooo.

You can BTD but the feature to save as a referenced movie is gone. That'll eat up some drive space and potentially a lot of time to BTD. But it works.

Haven't checked .dv files yet.

The issue with movies not loading properly on my old MBP has not been fixed - they are still coming up green - I guess it is just an issue with an old laptop with ageing video capabilities - but, not really a problem.... I was just hoping I could put the old machine out for video duties....

Yes you are right - its probably more to do with Full Screen's functionality which Apple need to sort out - however it worked for a short time in DP - now its gone. But as you say, hiding the dock gives you most of the screen to use.

I can't get the Waves Ultrapitch plugs to load on a mono track.

But I'll try restarting and repairing permissions before I worry about it.
