vertical track size Medium

DP will not let me make any of my audio tracks larger than medium size (vertical) in the sequence editor in the song I am currently working on. Whether I drag it or select any size option larger than medium, that is as big as it will go. The project does have a large number of tracks than I' e probably used before, but I wouldn't think this alone would effect that. I can select any size I like in other smaller projects, it is just this one project as far as I know. It happened with the project when it was in DP7 and is still the case after opening it in DP8. I think I might be missing something obvious but I see no overall setting for this.
