Can you connect a Technics 1200 directly into the audio interface, or do I need a RIAA? If possible, how to? If not, any good RIAA around?

I currently have my Technics 1200 hooked up to my Ultralite Mk3 through a hifi preamp - seems to work fine, and is quite convenient.
However - you could check out this thread.

I did sign up for this, and it did work very well, but it was quite difficult to import the EQ curves into CueMix.... I did figure it out eventually, but it was complicated.
