I went to record this morning and I plugged my mic in to channel 1 and as I did so, some static electricity zapped me. When I turned on the interface, the screen flashed over and over. I turned it off, checked the cables, back on - more flashing. Off again, then on and it booted up normally. This time, I had a steady green on all channels and the mix with Mic1/2 was SUPER noisy. Off and on once more and they quieted, and now the interface with a mix out to my phones sounds normal. Using mic 2 (suspected a preamp issue on 1), I recorded and got nothing but noise and crackling.
Any ideas? I'm very bummed as I had some time to work today (rarity anymore) and I can't seem to bypass the noise, even through my 8pre's channels.

You want to try this first:
To reset the 828mk3 to factory defaults, press the [PARAM] knob until you see SETUP on the screen. Next, turn the [PARAM] knob all the way to the right until you see “Factory Defaults” on the screen. Now, press the [VALUE] knob twice to execute the reset.
If that doesn't work, contact MOTU.
If your unit is out of warranty, they have a refurb/exchange program, I believe.
