Mach Five 3 - Default 64 bit?

Hello Everyone. Just installed Mach Five Version 3. Love it so far. A bit of reading in the manual states that its default operation is 64 bit mode. I verified this in the 'get info' window for the Mach Five app. Since I'm still running DP 7.24 in SL, does this mean that I can exceed the 4gb RAM usage limit when using Mach Five 3 as a plugin, or do I need to upgrade to DP8 for full 64 bit operation, and go beyond the 4gb limit?

Thanks - DV

I believe if you are hosting in a 32 bit app you are limited to 4GB for the app and the plug (unless the p lug has it's own memory server) but if you host 64-bit VI a 64 bridge such as jbridge or Bidule, you'll get more than 4GB of available RAM. Of course you then have to deal with a second program, but it's a workaround until you;re in full 64-bit DP and all you other plugs are at 64-bit.

Thanks MLC. That makes sense.
