A BIG THANK YOU TO SWEETWATER!

I've been meaning to do this for a while now and due to the flu and a busy schedule I'm only getting around to it. It's important to say thank you and express gratitude.
I'd like to say thank you to
Sweetwater for renewing their banner ad again recently. It helps offset the cost of the board and the time spent on running it.
Sweetwater helps make this board possible and I'd like to remind all the users here of that fact. Sweetwater always is very competitive in their pricing, and often has some of the best deals, but if you ever find yourself about to buy from somewhere else because you can save $10, etc., please remember that that extra little bit you might pay is helping to support this community through the banner ad that Sweetwater runs.
This isn't a suck up to them-- rather it states a reality that I just wanted to remind everyone of. When you buy from Sweetwater, you're helping to support this site. Thanks!
P.S. I realize this is in the DP forum, but as Site Admin I'm invoking privilege to put this in a conspicuous place before I move to the OT forum.

Sweetwater seems like an amazing company. I'm not really one to tout customer service, in a world where we can research information online better than any salesman... but I gotta hand it to them, they're service reaches to new levels. I'd love to buy from them more, but unfortunately, their shipping prices to Alaska are terrible. I usually have to go with Zzounds on any large (heavy) item. I can't really blame them, though, usually prices are set by their shipping partners.

I've also found if you have a better legitimate price from another company if you call & talk to Sweetwater, they will usually match it.
Last year I wanted to get a UAD2 Quad card,JRR had a much better price but Sweetwater has better customer service and an extra year with the warranty.
I called them and explained I'd rather buy from them but JRR had the better price.
The sales agent talked to his manager and they matched the price, so they got the sale and I got the Quad from a trusted vendor with an additional year on the warranty.
Most vendors will work with you on a real price, they want the sale.

I like Sweetwater my only issue was to finally make the agent stop calling me,which he finally did after I requested no more sales calls.
Sweetwater is a good company!

Yeah... mine would check in with me and see how something was working. Can't blame 'em. Everybody has to hustle to stay in business it seems these days. I worked at a company where the boss had a plaque hanging in his office. I never forgot it because it rings true no matter what your business. It read "A TERRIBLE THING HAPPENS WHEN YOU DON'T SELL: NOTHING."

I have a great rep at Sweetwater they always beat any prices I get here in Canada. Once they sent me a replacement before I sent the original back I've never seen that kind of service before.
Plus for some reason they send me free candy I never eat them but my friends like it.

Am I right that the best thing to do when buying from them would be to click on the banner here to get to their site? I buy from them but I admit I forget to do that. Surely they at least keep track of hits from the banner, don't they?

Sweetwater is great. I picked up a gaggle of gear from them over the past month or two, let alone over the past several years. Yes, their customer support is top shelf. I can't even begin to tell you how helpful and responsive they've been.
Maybe it's just me, but is the fistful of candy in each shipment cool, or what? I guess that represents the "sweet" part of it. It's probably wise not to ship "water".

It is really nice to see the good guys do so well. And Chuck and Brenda are some of the good guys. I remember doing biz with them while they were still in their basement. I also remember Chuck calling me from LaGuardia while he was switching planes, just to make sure our current order was taken care of properly. Now THAT is customer service !

When Brad was my rep it wasn't a problem,he only called occasionally and only if he had something relevant to my needs.
The agent they assigned to my account would always call trying to get me to buy things I had no interest in, that had no relevance to what I do(guitars, pedals etc...) and just came off as a pushy insincere salesman reading a script his manager forced him to use........
I liked Brad,he was a gear nut as well as a good salesman. He understood what we do & he was thoughtful enough not to call with constant BS like the newer salesman.
Finally I emailed him and his manager a request that they take me off the call list and I'll call them when I want to buy.
Much better for me.......

Well I guess you just have to ask sometimes. It hasn't been a problem for me.

Sweetwater is an awesome company. They are trying to get an annual "event" going ... Sorta like a very mini NAMM. I heard it was a lot of fun last year.
Great company, awesome sales folk. No problems here with unwanted sales calls...

I have bought well over 90% of everything I own from them including the CPU. Can't agree more with the costumer service. The whole reason Is because Ryan in 2004 was willing to answer questions about stuff I could not afford yet and he is still my guy today. I can get most anything on a 3 payment plan. Makes purchasing the bigger ticket items a little easier.

I live about 8 miles from Sweetwater and if you ever get to go to their Gearfest that they have every summer, you won't be disappointed. They have a ton of great speakers, training along with some impressive special pricing on gear. And, if you haven't seen their facility it's quite impressive. Not to drop names but I've known Chuck, the owner, since way back in the day when he had a studio in the basement of his house. He's a pretty good egg.
The only downside of me having a studio in the same town is most all those sales engineers that work there - they have studios and well, needless to say there's to many cooks in the kitchen for this small town.

Perfect timing. I just received an order from them yesterday and placed another today. They are great and I definitely want to get out to a Gearfest sometime. Glad to hear they are a supporter.
