Copying MIDI between chunks

Hi people,

Does anyone know of the simplest way to copy MIDI between chunks? I use the clipping board for most else but that results in MIDI not being lined up.

Part of my difficulty, I guess is that I don't have any MIDI notes at the beginning of the track so pasting pastes into the wrong location unless I have the counter in the same spot as the first note of the other chunk.

I think I may have mentally solved my problem. If I put a MIDI note at the beginning of the track and the copy it onto the clipping and paste it (assuming the tempo is the same) - it should work no? Otherwise I have to paste where the wiper is right?

I'm going to try that - other suggestions?

Hey hey hey. That's awesome. Mine way worked too but I like that way as well. I always wondered why you could display different Chunks in the various windows different than the Play enabled chunk. Now it makes sense.

You can do it that way. I've used that method for a lot of things, and not necessarily always lining it with the first beat, but also with other landmarks as well.

But for me the easiest method is simply to remember the location of the wiper. I usually have post-it notes, or a note book open so that I can write down such locations.
