Importing EXS 24 Instruments...

...works great when the following conditions are met:
1. The .exs instrument file is inside the samples folder.
2. The samples are properly named including pitch, velocity range
3. No samples in sub folders. All have to be in one folder.

If an .exs instrument has many articulations that are grouped (layered), and the samples for those groups are in separate folders, MF3 will not complete the import. The samples from all of the sub folder will need to be copied to a single folder which also includes the instrument file. MF3 does an amazing job of "repackaging" the previously grouped samples into correctly named Layers, and with correct controller assignments and ranges for switching articulations.

Interesting that MF3 converts cc#1 to 4, but otherwise the ranges are absolutely correct. Not a big deal. Maybe it chooses 4 to avoid unintended modulation...
