Hi all,
for some reason some plugins from IK doesn't work with DP8, like the CSR reverbs. I am missing something or should I wait for some update from IK?
Thank you,
Rubens.

Just checked I'm in DP8 64, & you're correct CSR is a no show,I haven't switched to 32bit mode.
Amplitude3 and TR3 plugs(64bit) show up.
I think CSR is still a 32bit plug,assuming your in DP8 64bit mode,have you tried DP in 32bit?
fwiw in case your not aware of this DP8 runs in 64bit by default.
From my understanding there's an expected CSR2 release as well as Sampletank3 both of which will be 64bit.

Thank you kgdrum for the feedback!
Yes, I am aware about the 64 bits in DP8... Just wasn't aware that Ik weren't!

So, it is matter of wait a little longer...
Thank's again.
Rubens.

CSR still works in 32 bit mode... though it took a very long time for the GUI to load... so I had a white window with controls and level lED's that worked without labels or the rest of the graphics... It finally completed about 20 seconds into play
I'm in 32 bit until UAD upgrades

FYI, I'm using jBridge with my UAD plugs in DP 8 64 bit and they seem to work fine. I've also been able to get CSR to work as well. For some reason SampleMoog won't work but I haven't had time to research more thoroughly. With the cost of jBridge just $13.00 it's a cheap way to have access to most (if not all) 32 bit VST plugs while enjoying DP 8 in 64 bit mode.

Thanks for the report on JBridge M,Stainless & New-Knee.
Hi New-Knee,
Are you using a UAD2 or a UAD1?
I'd love to use my UAD2 Quad in DP8 64bit! As well as a few other 32bit plugins I have.
Are there any stability issues introduced with the use of Jbridge M ?
Thanks,
KG

The JBridgeM looks interesting- if I following the web page, I'll need to designate all UAD's as VST's (and it's showing Kontackt...hadn't discovered issues with it...)for them to work with the bridge?
I'd try Kontackt, but I'm at work

kgdrum,
I'm using jBridge with a UAD 2 quad but I've only tried a few of the many plugins I have.
I'm going to go through the rest of my plugs soon. But right now things are looking good
in my 32/64 bit system.

I've also found some problems with IK Multimedia VI's not working with DP 8 and there are problems when using jBridgeM.
SampleMoog is listed and "failed" in the plugin selection area but it is listed as an available VI in DP 8. I was able to select SampleMoog, SampleTron and SonicSynth and they work (even though SampleMoog is listed as "failed") but if you try to switch VI's on the tracks where they are it crashes DP and upon closing it causes crashes as well. So far this is only happening with IK Multimedia VI's and with all their attention going towards iOS products I don't think they will be providing a 64 bit solution for a while. I have some other VI's to test but I thought this might be helpful now. I'm going to contact jBridgeM and see if they have any ideas.
Later,

I sent a message to the creator of jBridgeM and within 5 minutes he sent me the solution.
If there are others having problems using IK Multimedia 32 bit VI's with jBridgeM just launch the VI and disable "run in existing auxhost" and select the "dirty close" option. I did it and they seem to be working in DP8 just fine now.
Now that's what I call support.

Yeah I exchanged a couple of emails with him and he's very friendly and responsive.
I was suggesting he develops an all AU 32--->64bit bridge.

Are there any tricks to successfully creating the bridge files for IKM VIs? I tried CSR and four IKM VIs, along with the Korg Legacy stuff, a couple of older PSP plugins and some Spectrosonics plugins. The first time, the bridge files were created for everything but only one of the PSP VSTs passed the scan in DP. The rest failed with a message saying a "temp file could not be opened". I tried a second scan, and CSR passed. A third time, SampleTank 2 and the Korg Legacy effects passed.
Another odd thing: the prefix [jbridge] was added during the first of the three scans, but after that, none of the plugins that passed got the suffix.
It all seems a bit erratic (understand it's a beta) and I don't know if I can trust it yet. Has anyone tried running the IKM VIs standalone and linking to DP with IAC MIDI and Soundflower?
(BTW, the plugins I'm trying to bridge scan OK in DSP-Quattro, so I know they're OK.)
