My UAD plug-ins (current driver 6.3.1) in Mountain Lion with a PCI-x card do not show up in DP8. Anyone else have this issue?

They won't show up because you must have launched DP8 in 64-bit mode and the UAD plugs are not 64-bit compatible yet. UAD is working on it. To see your UAD plugs you need to close DP8, find the app and Get Info on it, and click the box that says to launch in 32-bit mode. Then DP8 will see the UAD (and other non 64 bit) plug-ins.

By the way, I just noticed this on the UAD2 support site:
Are UAD-2 products compatible with Mac OS X 64-bit kernel mode?
Yes! 64-bit driver support for all UAD-2 devices was added in UAD Powered Plug-Ins v5.8.0.
The problem must be with Mountain Lion's version of 64-bit or something. I didn't see anything on the site other than a page describing they were 64 bit compliant.

Yes they will work in the 64bit Kernel,in a 32bit app, this has nothing to do with Mountain Lion.
Many people confuse the 32bit vs 64bit terms concerning Kernels and applications like a DAW.
They are not compatible to work in a 64bit application yet.
32bit or 64bit Kernels & applications are 2 different things, for UAD2 to work in a 64bit application such as DP8,the plugins & card need to be rewritten for 64bit.
As of now they will work only in the 64bit Kernel within a 32bit app like DP7.24 or DP8 in 32bit mode.

Thanks for this info. Please post here when UA gets that together. I'll wait on 8 until then.

The drivers for the devices support 64bit, but the plugins themselves are not yet 64bit. Later on that page it says:
"Are UAD Powered Plug-Ins 64-bit?
Currently the UAD plug-ins are all 32-bit format, so when they are used in 64-bit host applications they require the use of a 64-bit bridge adapter. These bridge adapters are usually supplied by the manufacturers of the 64-bit host application you are using. We are aware of our user's concerns and requests for full 64-bit plug-in support, and we have announced that all UAD-2 plug-ins will be fully 64-bit compatible in 2012. Any changes or new announcements regarding full 64-bit plug-in support will be posted on the UA website."
I'm thinking (hoping) this JbridgeM gizmo will allow us to use the current 32bit versions with DP8 until 64bit versions are ready:

Yes - the JBridge will allow you to use 32-bit UAD VST plugs - but not the AU versions. JBridge is VST only.

Right. Jbridge seems to be working on all VSTs except the ones for my UAD-
1s. ….which is my main concern

Anyone else have this problem? When I launch DP8, it doesn't see my Uad-2 plugs, and I've already checked the 32 bit box in the 'get info' window. I have to quit DP8 and launch 7.24, then quit that a re-launch DP8 where it now recognizes my Uad plugs. Running Lion, 10.7.5.

When I previously used DP8.01 in 32bit mode I never had any problems with my UAD card showing in DP.
Now I'm using DP in 64bit mode & access UA plugs via Jbridge & it's working perfectly.

Jbridge is a great inexpensive solution so you can take advantage of DP8 in 64bit mode & not have all of the ram limitations.
But getting back to your original question UAD plugs have been working well in my DP8 setup in both 32 and 64bit modes.
