Hi! I'm a beginner. I have a few questions about connection and coordination between Motu devices and their connection with other devices. Please help me:
1. Is it possible to connect different Motu devices?
2. What's the best way of this commutation?
What I have:
1) BOSS RC-300 Loop Station http://www.roland.co.uk/products/produc ... 1182&c=327
2) NEUMANN KMS 105 mike http://www.neumann.com/?lang=en&id=curr ... escription
3) MOTU 2408mk3 http://www.motu.com/products/pciaudio Also I have PCI card PCI-424 http://www.motu.com/products/pciaudio/2408/exp.html
4) I want to buy MOTU 8pre / http://www.motu.com/products/motuaudio/8pre/body.html for more mikes and ways for sound edit
5) I have ALESIS MultiMix 8FireWire http://www.alesis.de/index.php?option=c ... 72&lang=de
I don't know, can I exclude it from this chain?
I'm working on a Windows 7, 64bit with CUBASE 5.
I need to connect the devices in this chain for concerts:
MOTU 8pre + BOSS RC-300 Loop Station + NEUMANN KMS 105 mike.
And for recording at home studio:
Windows 7 64bit & CUBASE 5 + MOTU 2408mk3 & PCI card: PCI-424 + MOTU 8pre + NEUMANN KMS 105 mike + BOSS RC-300 Loop Station (and maybe some other instruments).
Also I'm not sure in bying MOTU 8pre. Maybe some of these devices will be best for me?
1) MOTU 4pre / http://www.motu.com/products/motuaudio/4pre/body.html
2) MOTU Audio Express / http://www.motu.com/products/motuaudio/audio-express
Or if you know some other Motu devices of the same level, which is possible to connect with my Windows and hardware, please tell me.
Thanks.
