MIDI / Audio Recorder in M5

Does anybody familiar with scripting created a script that allows recording the MIDI notes of a part? It would be also a great M5 improvement to capture audio of a part or performance without the need to use a DAW.

Seems none of your questions have received a response. I suppose that means that no one knows the answer to the other two (I don't) but MachFive (AFAIK) doesn't record MIDI in scripts and doesn't "sample" in and of itself. Yes, that would be very nice on both counts, I agree.

I'm sorry I can't be more helpful, but I didn't want you to think you were being ignored. I think you're just asking the hard questions... :) Please keep asking them! :D

I saw your question and I get that if you are in stand alone mode that it might be handy to capture MIDI. Not at the studio but I don't remember anything about capturing MIDI. But it's quite easy working with m5 as a Daw plug-on, and you could always set up a simple, small footprint template in your DAW just for capturing ideas.

M5 does not sample, but you can drag and drop any audio into it

I think Shooshie said that m5 completes DP, and I have to agree that the combination of the two sets the stage for almost anything you could want to do with digital audio.
