When I show my audio devices I see everything correctly. I have my windows audio piped through 'MOTU Analog 1-2' and this output is connected to Analog input 7-8 on the back of the 828mk3 so that windows audio can be mixed.
My MOTU audio configuration looks like this:
My problem is that 99% of the time I can't get any audio out of the system. When I go to test the audio channel nothing comes out. Other audio applications appear to lock up or not be able to send audio.
Often, when I try to load MOTU Audio Console I get this error:
If I ctrl-alt-del and stop the 'audiodg.exe' process then this error goes away and I can open the configuration.
If I load and close MOTU Audio Console many times, it appears to sometimes start working. There appears to be no reason for why it sometimes works and sometimes does not.
At this point I'm seriously considering junking the 828mk3 because I simply can't get it to work reliably. Does anyone have any insight into how I can resolve these problems?
