Just bought it. It's like someone just paid me $20 for procrastinating buying DSP-Q all this time.

Yea - I should qualify. If you do not have an upgrade or crossgrade, Don't Crack will save you $20.

I bought it direct from vendor during the $49 Bias PEAK cross-grade promotion. Nice to see it represented by a good vendor now, as that always increases presence and awareness of an app.

Can someone comment on the performance and features they find useful?

How does the crossgrade work?
Does it disable Bias Peak?

I don't think crossgrades ever disable the qualifying product-- especially an end-of-life product like Peak.

James is correct, crossgrades are more of an incentive based marketing tool to encourage users of competing products to switch apps.

Mainly I use it to do mastering. It has a rack for FX for each audio file window, and a Master out track rack. Basically I keep all the metering plug ins on the Master track since I'll need them in every song, which allows me to switch between compressors, limiters and EQs on the individual tracks at will. It's also really quick for destructive audio editing, which is a little more useful when I'm working in Live. It's much much quicker to take 5-10 songs into DSP Quattro than to try to do the final touches on the mixed down but not mastered tracks in DP.

I'm going to spend the $49. Peak hasn't worked properly for me in years so I have been mastering in DP and exporting to Toast. It work fine but I have just taken on a project where I am converting a lot of analog including cassettes to CD.
If Quatro can save me time while letting me use RX 2, Ozone and other plugs., it will be well worth the money spent. If I don't like it, $49 isn't enough to make me upset.

Grrrrrr
I hate it when mom & pop software companies can't get it together on the little things - like licensing once you purchase. I am not referring to Don't Crack; it's DSP Quatro.
You cannot activate the demo - OK, that's annoying but only inconvenient. You must contact them by email first to tell them you will be purchasing the crossgrade. OK, I recognize amateur hour when I see it ... as long as I can make it work.
Anyway, I heard nothing back and proceeded with my purchase of the crossgrade from PEAK. That went well enough. After the purchase, they send you a receipt, activation code, make you register and send you a link to your User Area where you can download the working version. When it expands, you read the Installation Manual to have to find a PIN generated by the application when you launch it the first time. OK... I go to my User Area to put in my name and PIN to generate the License File.
Then I get an error that I can't use my new software because the license generator has no record of my old DSP license. Of course it doesn't - I purchased a cross grade and there is no older license.
No doubt this will all get straightened out. It will be interesting to see how long it takes. OK, let me see... someone probably still has to use my first email to generate the "old license" so that the license generator will work and that task hasn't been done yet... anyone wanna bet that isn't the case?
I hope that the software works a lot better than the licensing. If not, I can request a refund within 30 days - I am hoping that I do not have to.
