You know, I had a bad dream that the new version requires an iLok and that they did indeed provide a PDF manual........ I don't think its a stretch given that most if not all of their add-on instruments, etc. require the use of the iLok.. I hope not but I'll swallow the pill if they do!

Given the pirating of software, I think MOTU is due for some security changes and if a PDF manual is included, that would be grrrreat, but I also like the Big Book.

Is it my imagination, or does any thread on motunation, if posted to long enough, eventually end up discussing the politics of a pdf-manual for DP?

Websites don't need to be disabled in order to be updated, even if you are changing the entire content of every page. Even changing hosts only causes a few seconds of interruption at most. The server that hosts the site went down, or it would be accessible... not likely it has anything to do with DP8, although I'd sure be pleasantly surprised if it did.

It's not that big a deal kids. The site is down. So what? How desperate can you be for news about DP? There's a little thing called "life" that is sometimes important to remember to "live."

I'm kind of hoping it's not DP8, as I'm still one of those who are on DP6. After hearing all the raves about DP7 stability, I'm still hoping to grab that ( while getting the DP8 free upgrade  ) so I can run them side-by-side and compare. I don't suppose there will be any way to get the DP7 upgrade after DP8 is officially launched?
