Mach Five 3.1.1 MIDI controller messaging

MIDI channel A1 will not obey volume(7)controller message from my MIDI usb controller Tascam US 2400. All the other MIDI channels from the Mach Five do obey. Anyone know what this is about?

Do you at least see the MIDI light blink next to Part 1 ?
If not, there is maybe a configuration issue on your controller regarding channels
