Microbook II and Amplitube

Hello

I just received a MOTU Microbook II and am having difficulty getting Amplitube to process the audio I'm sending it through a bass guitar (via the Microbook II).

I can hear the guitar through my monitors, I can see the VU register there is audio, when I pluck a string, on the GUITAR track of the Cuemix. However, I am unable to get Amplitube to register any sort of sound.

In amplitube, I have the 'MOTU MicroBook ASIO' driver selected with Left and Right channels 'Mic-Guitar 1-2 1' and 'Mic-Guitar 1-2 2' and output 'Main 1-2 - 1' and 'Main 1-2 2'

Buffer size is set (and unmodifyable) at 176

MIDI input is 'Kurzweil PC3' (and unmodifyable)

In the CueMix software, I have ensured that ALL tracks are NOT muted (as most were when I installed the device initially)

and the volume is raised on each channel.

I should be getting something??

Windows 7 64-bit edition with the latest driver (as of today) off of the Motu website.

Turns out its not just amplitube.. Guitar Rig is not picking up sound either.. appears to be a routing issue??? please help if you have an idea :)

I use standalone Guitar Rig all the time. You need to mute the inputs on CueMix or you will hear the unwanted dry signal in addition to Guitar Rig processed signal.

In Guitar Rig, simply set your input as the MOTU input that the bass is connected to. Then also set the output in Guitar Rig to the MOTU output that you expect to hear sound on.

In MOTU CueMix, set the output to the one you expect to hear sound on and unmute that. Also set a nice hot level without clipping. In Guitar Rig, you can set all levels for inputs/outputs, each module, etc..

Hope this helps ya out.

Good to know it is supposed to work with the Microbook II!

And, Yes, it should be that simple.. but it is not working for me. *pouts*

Inputs:
Guitar Rig 4 In L 1: Mic-Guitar 1-2
Guitar Rig 4 In R 2: Mic-Guitar 1-2
Guitar Rig 4 SideChain L 3: Line 1-2
Guitar Rig 4 SideChain R 4: Line 1-2

Outputs:
Guitar Rig 4 Out L 1: Main 1-2
Guitar Rig 4 Out R 2: Main 1-2

When I strum, there is absolutely no indication in Guitar Rig VU that it is picking up or outputting any sort of signal (beyond background hiss if I max the volume sliders)

You can right click on the pics in Firefox and choose View Image to see the whole picture.

Here are 3 screenshots for my MOTU Traveler, setup and ready to use Guitar Rig well, as an example to make it easier to understand:

See at the top of Guitar Rig directly to the left of the CPU meter? It looks like a circle with a line extruding from it pointing up. Click that to make sure it is lit up well.

It is the bypass audio switch.

It's working?

Thanks a ton for helping me with this. I'd have never figured that out on my own.

Here are the settings for Amplitube 3 if anyone else is wondering:

Yep!! both programs are now working. This (and solid drivers) are why I bought the motu.
