Is there a way to de-couple the ADSR from an oscillator so that it goes forever without having to retrigger it or to trigger it at all?

But how would you stop it then ?

If you don't want to hold the key then you can just set the keygroup to latch mode

Apparently the latch mode is only for slice oscillators. I'm using an ircam granular. My workaround is to record one MIDI note, then edit the note-off to be a whole lot of bars later. I thought riding the gain on the osc. would do it. I even deleted the amp.env - it's still (or something still is) gating the osc. Unless I'm doing something wrong.

Latch mode is not only for the slice oscillator. It's just directly in the main parameters in this case.
Check the parameters of the keygroup in the TreeView.
