Is there a way to import 3rd party sounds? If so...How is this done?
I've read the manual and looked on the forums and web for a while to no avail.
This may seem simple, but obviously it's not for me.
any help much appreciated.
Thanks for reading this.

Are you talking about samples or programs (patches)?

MachFive 3 makes a big deal about importing 3rd party sound files but states that programs may not load properly.
I have not gotten to that point yet but the promise of that feature set was the main reason I bought it over others.

M5 3 imported all my old K2000/2500 samples without a hitch. If I remember right there was a sequence where I had to install the sample CD, dismiss the Mac unknown format error, then launch M5 after that the sample disk would appear in the browser. From there I think i had to create a disk image inside M5 for the sample CD and it worked fine after that. I'm not in front of the computer so I hope I remember that sequence right!
I think this is covered, although a little thinly, in the manual.
I did have to call tech support once during this process though because I didn't do things in order - if you search the forum I posted the problem and solution.
Good luck!
