Cannot put new tempo???

HI,

I'm using 7.24 for the first time. Here's my problem: I imported tracks in a new project that has the default tempo of 120 (btw it reads 12/0), I want to put the new tempo (130) but DP won't let me change it...

The tracks are locked (btw the holding T key shortcut to lock all the tracks at the same time doesn't seem to work) and when I try to change the tempo either with the slider or the conductor track I get weird read out like 4/1, 6/4, 8/4 etc...

It's been driving mad for the last 2 hours... Anybody has an idea about that?

sounds like you've got conductor track set to wrong settings.

ON the pull down mini menu, make sure it's set to sequence tempo, rather than conductor track.

Assuming you've got the chunk's tempo control set to slider (as mentioned above), there may be something weird going on. I've never seen the slash thing before (12/0, etc.)

I wonder if there is something going on with the file. I'm on an MBP w/ 10.6.8, so if you want to PM me, we can arrange to have me open the file here.

I never use it, but could it be DP is showing the tempo in "Film Scoring" notation? It certainly looks like it (but with a dash). If so, that can be changed in the preferences.

Ahhh! Thanks guys. FM you were right, it is in the Preferences-Tempo display... I never used that system, don't know why it was changed in my preferences...

One more thing, when 7.24 is loaded, I see 2 instances of DP 7.24 in the Finder when I scroll using command-tab. Anybody else has that?
