You need some kind of bridge app. In DP it would be something like VE Pro and I think Plogue Bidule can do that as well.

You need to be more specific about what application you want to control on the slave, and what you want to control it with on the master.
If you connect the two with ethernet, and turn on various types of sharing in the system preferences, you can control some aspects of one Mac with the other. But that doesn't necessarily help you with any specific application.

I would slave it to run additional files for dp7, so that I dont use up all the MacPro memory.
Re: Slaving a G5 to MacPro
OK, so you would have DP running on the Mac Pro, and you want it to be able to make use of a second computer to play additional audio tracks, and VIs?
There are lots of ways to do that, but this SOS article shows how to do it using only OS X resources.

This method sends MIDI from the tracks on Mac to Mac 2. Mac 2 plays the MIDI on VIs or whatever you want to use. You connect the audio out from Mac 2 to whatever mixer or monitoring setup you have for Mac 1. Or have the audio from Mac 2 come into DP in Mac 1 via Aux channels. In my case, I have MOTU audio interfaces on both Macs, and I just connect the two with ADAT cables.
You might find there is a delay between Mac 1 and 2, and you can off set that by moving the events in the MIDI track in Mac backwards (to the left) a bit until the timing is correct.
An alternative is to run some tracks on Mac 1 and others on Mac 2 in separate instances of DP or another sequencer. (I'm not clear whether the DP license allows you to run two instances -- better check it and see) Each runs as an independent session, and you have to sync the transports. Section 11 of the DP 7 manual tells you how to send sync from the master to the slave.
One other things that can be helpful is screen sharing on Mac 2, accessed from Mac 1. That way the slave appears as a window on the master.
