Where are the templates stored in Lion? I can't find the [home folder] .

They're stored in your user library ~/Library/Preferences/Digital Performer/Document Templates

Your user library is hidden in Lion by default. If you hold the option key while clicking Go in the Finder menu, it will be available for selection. If you want to unhide it, search the internet and a bunch of stuff will be returned.

Google Lion Library or similar and you will find a terminal command to permanently make the Library visible. Or download Lion Tweaks and use that. Then you won't have to go in via the back door every time you need to get into the Library.

Quick way to show the user library in Lion:

Open Terminal then paste the command below after the prompt; press enter(don't forget to exit terminal)

chflags nohidden ~/Library/

Your User Library folder will now be visible. This keeps it visible - even after reboot.

Once you find it, you can also drag it into the Finder sidebar, but I like the Terminal suggestion in tandem.

Hi, I have made my users Library appear and found the templates folder, but it doesn't seem to contain all of the templates on my list. Including the ones that come with DP.

Is it possible that there is an additional list stored elsewhere?

I want to get rid of a few outdated templates.

The DP8 stuff is at ~/Library/Preferences/com.motu.DigitalPerformer and com.motu.MotuAudioSystem.

Thanks ! Found 'em. But the stock DP templates (16 tracks etc) aren't in there. Are they not removable?

For DP8 those are in /Library/Application Support/MOTU/Digital Performer/Document Templates - that's the local library, not the user lib.

Thanks! Kinda odd that there are two places for document templates!

Shortcut to user Library in 10.8.2

From the finder window hold the option key and "GO". The user Library will appear in the list. This may have been stated earlier as I have not read the entire thread.
