CueFX and Pro Tools 9

So, i finally bit the bullet and went from Logic to Pro Tools 9.

For the first time, i hooked up my 828mk3 to Pro Tools 9 last night and i was having issues getting a signal from gear plugged into the inputs in the back. Turns out i was running very old drivers and probably didnt have the proper I/O setup.

Anyway, is there a way within Pro Tools 9 to use CueFX (the eq's, compressor etc etc) within Pro Tools 9? Over on the Avid forums, someone said it cant be done because i would need Pro Tools 10 to do the "monitoring" thing that was new in PT10.

So, is this true? Can i not use my CueFX on audio tracks as sends....hell, even busses? I really like the FX that are inside the 828mk3 and id like to not bog down my Macbook Pro's cpu.

Thanks!!!!

As I understand it, the EQ and compression are on the input end of the unit, therefore I'd imagine if you have applied EQ and compression in Cuemix it will indeed be recorded into Pro Tools. Have you tried it out?

No, the FX in CueMix is only available to physical in and outputs on the 828 from within the CueMix software.
