This looks interesting..a 1.2 GB download! At 0.99 cents I'm going to give it a go. Going up to 14.99 after Dec 21.
I have Symphony Pro which is really a bear to use, we'll see if this any easier. Features read well!

I have been waiting for something like this since the iPad was introduced. Definitely worth a buck to me to find out. Thanks for the heads up.

Sample files looking good. Barber's Adagio, original version; original key!

Still downloading here, but what a great way to "buck" the system.

Yeah. Now if I can print directly from the iPad that would be nice.

Try PrintCentral if you have a wireless printer.

I was wondering if it's worth the money, then I noticed it was 99¢. What ISN'T worth a buck? (never mind… I'm sure you can think of something) So, I bought it. Looking forward to seeing how well it works. It must be huge; it's taking longer to download than anything else I've bought. Either that, or my internet service is running like viscous cement.

Just FYI-- there are also two Sibelius apps: "Core Sibelius 6" and "Sibelius Essentials"-- two different developers, apparently. Not making any recommendations, but just taking stock. There's also Symphony, fwiw. It's hard to imagine that something from Finale wouldn't be on the horizon.

They are both Sibelius tutorials. The only app related to Sibelius is Avid Scorch,

http://itunes.apple.com/au/app/avid-sco ... 94592?mt=8

which allows you to read your scores created in Sibelius, as well as listen to them, and transpose them, but has no editing facilities.

Nice that there are tutorials. I was in the process of getting Notion downloaded and didn't read the entire abstract. That explains why the offerings were from two different developers. Thanks for expounding, bdr. What a shame not to have some form of the app on the iPad to put those tutorials into practice.

Notion is really not bad. There are playback issues, though, at least on iPad. While staves and MIDI channels can be disabled, Notion warns the user after setting up 8 staves to expect reduced performance efficiency beyond 14-16 simultaneous polyphonic notes.

Beyond Notion, it speaks more to the iPad as a hardcore music tool. I'm sure in time the iPad will get better if it catches on beyond a text reader, mp3 player, and e-mail manager. This will come in handy on a long flight, but the day of the laptop has yet to be challenged.
