Weird Startup Error

Appears over login window: 'There isn't a wireless mouse or trackpad connected.' I can't get around it or force quit. And it's true, I DON'T have a wireless mouse or trackpad, and bluetooth is disabled. I have to manually shut down and start over. Then it's OK. But I'm worried one day it won't be. Any ideas? Thanks.

Some kind of corrupted startup cache? Many utilities (Onyx!) should clear it, or reset the PRAM/NVRAM. It really doesn't sound too serious.
