DIdn't the AMS Icons used to stay where I placed them?

I'm noticing lately that whenever I open AMS (Mac OSX 10.6.8), the device icons all appear at the position they were when first created, not at the position I move them to for neatness.

As a result, now when I open it, I get a mess of crisscrossed lines instead of the neat self-directed arrangement I used to get. DId something change? It's no big deal, just curious if anyone knows.

There's a long thread about this topic. Basically it's a Apple problem I copied the workaround for you.
As a workaround, select the Audio MIDI Setup application icon and do a "Get Info". Then select the checkbox corresponding with "Run in 32-bit Mode"

Thanks, KP! I'll give it a try first thing in the AM.

And that totally worked! Thanks. It makes dealing with AMS much easier... I have a lot of devices and wires in there, and under the 64-bit mode it was a train wreck.
