Crashes loading scripted instruments, please help.

I had a number of crashes and messages that said I was out of memory with M5-3 running in DP7.24. They would happen when I was loading the third instance of a scripted instrument. On opening Dp again it said “ permissions not found” or some thing of the sort. (Sorry). I did repair permissions and it still crashed DP. In stand-alone mode it works with out crashing and I can load more scripted instruments before it runs out of memory. I can load tons of non-scripted instruments in ether DP7 or stand alone mode.
DP buffer setting 256.

I made a new set up in DP7 and only added Superior Drummer and Mach 5 for VI’s. I had quite a few VI’s in the tracks list on my first set up and this helped now I get 4 scripted instruments and the 5th one ran out of memory but did not crash DP.

Is there a set up I needs to look in to? Is it in the PFD manual? (Just a joke)

DP is 32bits only so you can't access more than 4GB of memory.
M5 instruments are quite heavy.

The StandAlone version is 64bits which would explain why you don't have issues.

You need to use something like VEP if you want to stay in DP or wait for 64bits DP.

Plogue Bidule is also 64 bit now. Great solution for stuff like this.

Good call, BTW, hugy.

What about Sound Flower? I thought the sounds were streaming; it does take some time to load them and the scripted ones take much more time so it may be loading something into RAM.

Don't know about Soundflower but tried to load Telematic in DP and PB. Both took 90 seconds. When I tried to close the plug (to NONO in the plug dropdown) I got the SBBD for about 5 minutes. I'll be adding another 8GB of RAM tomorrow and try again to see if that helps the load time, but I doubt it will.
