Maybe folks could list here, libraries and instruments that are formatted for or compatible with MachFive 3.

I listened to the scripted VI’s they have yesterday and where I do not see much use for some like the vibraphone the pianos are very nice.

i have tried some of my 3rd party samples in M5 and they all played fine; even had more control over them.

Check out MOTUs YouTube vids. They go into some detail on how the scripted stuff works.

I think I have watched the M5 videos a few times, they were very helpful in knowing my way around it.

I learned a lot about the scripts - or at least understood them a little better. I did read the manual cover to cover as well (not much to it really) but it doesn't really tell you about the way the scripted instruments are implemented and they remain a mystery to me to a large extent.

That's OK since the way i work is fairly traditional and straight forward, but I do want to program some decent brass patches to include growls, falls, mutes, etc. Haven't really found anything like the Ensoniq EPS patch buttons for a good dirty bone sound.

While I like to dig into the details of MIDI (except SysEx  ) and mixing, etc, I'm quite happy to be the end user vs the programmer.

I avoided ResEdit like the plaque in the legacy days. Same with Terminal.

Creating layered sampler instruments with assigned key switching in KeyMap is more my speed.

Prior to M5v3, I never noticed acousticsamples.net before. It looks like they plan to port all of their stuff to M5v3.

ResEdit! Now there's a blast from the past! They didn't use a Joker for nothin! ☺

Layer rules may be more suited in your case.

M5 devs have posted this to KvR regarding scripting

Cool link. I'll study that one in great detail. Thank you!
