Hi:

I recently upgraded to Lion, and everything seems to work fine except for MachFive 2. Spinning beach ball of death and a blank white screen if I open the standalone. I did d/l the latest ilok drivers, FYI....

Won't open in DP7.24 either.

Anyone with a similar experience?

Well people are getting DP 7.24 to work so it sounds like something that might be specific to your system. Have you tried reinstalling the DP update? Contacting MOTU????

Thanks, MLC , but DP 7.24 works fine. Pretty much every other VI as well (included all the bundled MOTU synths). Only MachFive2 is having issues. I guess I should have made that more apparent in my thread.

I will definitely contact MOTU, but I figured it might be easier/faster to check with the 'nation first....

Oooops! I read that as "DP won't open either..." Mia culpa... again. ☺ Have you tried reinstalling the MachFive engine?

I will try that... I hope this isn't the same thing as with Ethno, being that MachFive 3 is slated for release soon....

MachFive has been slated for release soon for way too long. I'll believe it when I see it...

Any useful info on this? I've just upgraded to 10.7.1 and the Mach 5 fails the AU validation test. MOTU claims their stuff works on 10.7 but i really could not make this pass the AUVAL (in Logic). The software (2.0.2) works fine as standalone though, and it comes up in Logic too if i ignored the warning. Still, the songs will not be able to load their Mach 5 presets (and yes, it is annoying too)

I understand that Mach 5 V3 has been released but it will have compatibility issues with the older sessions, so i'd like to stay with V2 if possible...

Well then.... stay with version 2. Thanks for yet another reason not to play with the Lion (not that I really needed one).

I had the same problem with MachFive Version 2..in Snow leopard..Lion had nothing to do
with it..at least for me..
After reinstalls of both MachFive AND DP, I gave up on MachFive, and revisiting it in version
3.

Well, to update:

I installed MachFive 2.02 on a recently purchased MacBook Pro that came with OSX 10.7.1.
Works fine both in standalone as well as an AU in DP 7.24. So I guess there's an issue with my iMac. As long as I have it on one machine! Now I guess I'll upgrade to 3...
