Multiple file based plug-ins (audio menu > audio Plug-ins) open at the same time.
Or at least a drop down menu from with-in the plug-in bar to the rest list of plug-ins to switch faster.
When editing, I find my self reaching for auto tune and the Trim plug-in very often.

You can put your favorite chain of plugins, with their settings, in a clippings window.
You can also arrange the plugins that are in Library/audio/plugins/mas into folders.

If I'm understanding you correctly you're just looking for fast access to the plugs you use frequently. If that's the case you can save them as clippings in a DP clipping window. For quick access it doesn't get better than that.

Thanks Tim and Dan, but that wasn't my request. I know about the clipping windows and I use it all the time.
I asked about 'file based' plugs from the audio menu.
Do you understand what I mean?
--------------
Thanks for the folders idea though. I have to try that.

Perhaps you should send that one off to Apple as well.

Can't say that I do. Could you elaborate?

OK.
Have a project open.
Go to the Audio menu, then Audio plug-ins,
select a plug in from the list.
Now you can select any sound bite and process it with that plug in. The other way is to use it as an insert in the mixer.
Coparendo?

still don't understand what you mean... but from your original post, a feature that could help getting at the "trim" plugin or "Autotune" plugin faster is to allow you to bind any plugin to a keycommand... that way you can press Shift-A for example and get the autotune plugin to come up without having to search through the plugins...
r.

Don't need to. Just run some other Daws on the same machine.

Improve the native dynamics plugin - add soft knee option and attack time adjustable beyond 10ms.
Phase reverse button on mixer strip instead of plug in.
Allow Plugins and Transport to be popped into consolidated window.
Speed up the interface.....yawn!

I would like to have a soundbite-based volume automation.
Very useful in postprod.

how about a Master Fader/Aux Fader(s) for *MIDI* tracks? would function just the same as the one(s) for Audio tracks. A great way to lower/raise overall volumne and make smooth fades. There are "ways" to get around this (scaling CC7, etc., buy a control surface, etc.), but they're a pain compared to what you could do with a simple MIDI Master fader.
