Chained 828mkII - #1 and #2 swapped

Hi,
I've recently bought a second 828mkII to my system (Win7 64bit). Everything seems to be working smoothly, including an Octopre LE connected via ADAT to one of the two MOTU boards.
However most of the times the system is a bit confused when assigning #1 and #2. I would say that most of the times the second 828 in the chain (which also uses ADAT) gets assigned #1, while the other (in the middle of the firewire chain) gets #2. But that's not always consistent across reboots. Sometimes they're swapped and of course that breaks all the mappings in the DAW. For now the only workaround I found is to power cycle the one that sits in the middle when that happens to revert to the setup above, but it's far from being ideal
I tried to search, but I couldn't find anything that permanently fixes the issue... thougths?
