Anyone get this issue with Nomad Factory plugs?

Hi:

Not sure if this is an actual DP issue, or a Nomad Factory one, but if you insert a Nomad Factory plug on an aux, the GUI doesn't display unless you specify an input. Doesn't happen on a Master, or if you use on an insert. None of my other plugs do this.

So I'm not sure if this a real issue or not, since the plug needs something sent to it anyway, right? Just maybe the way NF sets up their plugs.

Just wondering if anyone else had ever noticed it...

Thanks!

I think Waves, etc. is the same. if the plug (on an auxiliary track, like for reverb) is not assigned an input it doesn't display until an input is assigned.

I'll double check later.

Buzzy, I just confirmed that Waves plugs do this as well.... I thought at first something was wrong with my authorizations, but it just must be the way they behave.

Thanks!

A Master Track only has an output. It's not configurable as a routing tool like an Aux track. Audio tracks that already contain audio don't need an input, but can use one optionally.

An aux track, however, is not a track until it has an input AND an output. It's just a routing device, and until it has something to route, it's theoretically just a place-holder.

i've had this problem and it's driven me crazy. not with Nomad, but with UAD, i think.

i'd see the plug's name but i couldn't open it to mess with the settings. then other instances of the plug would be working fine.

haha. it's really good to find out exactly why this was happening, i've seriously spent hours tearing out my hair about it. i've always fixed it, but i guess by accident everytime.

thanks for this post!

As far as I can remember this has always been like that.
No AUX input no GUI...
I never considered this to be a "problem" as one always needs to assign an input on the AUX track to make it work anyway.

Yeah, probably not really a "problem", just caught me off guard. Hadn't noticed it before, so i wasn't sure if there was something wrong. But it does makes sense when you think about it...
