collaboration file sharing

I've a number of songs done by a friend (recorded here in DP) that he'd like to send to players for an additional track or two. Plan is that they'll get the music bed and record the additional tracks to it.

To give them the files, I opened a google account and used google "sites" to make a web page for web sharing and uploaded the music beds that I wanted these "pros" to use. The site I made is private so I have to give each email address that will use the site permission to do so.

The musician that I'm recording the CD for, had a bit of trouble remembering what his password for google was, but after he figured out that, he accessed the site and downloaded his song. Worked like we wanted so I sent his hired "studio" guys the site address.

None of the three has been able to figure out how to access the files. While we step down the training path, I thought I'd ask if any of you had a favorite way to share a music bed for a musician to record a track to.

Thanks for the tips. FileChute will work supposedly with non mobile.me accounts. I'll try it out.

I'll check into filechute, too. I've been using the free version of yousendit (limits to one file at a time) and it's been just fine.

Dropbox is free. 2 gigs to start, and if friends join you get 250megs more for each. Maximum total free is 8gigs if I recall correctly.

Looks pretty cool. I have my own FTP area and sort of could get by without this, but it is a bit more convenient. Just wish FileChute could navigate folders perhaps. Ahh... just noticed you can set up an account for any folder to navigate between them. That would work. :) $8.95 is a deal at macupdate!
