Been using a MOTU 24 I/O, PCI-424, Win 7, 32 bit (Windows sounds off) for several years. Recently I seem to be getting erratic sample rate sync or sync in general problems. One issue is that the unit doesn't switch sampling rates to the source consistently (e.g. With Sonar at 48Khz, shut down Sonar and open Windows media player and the sampling rate stays at 48khz) Another issue is that sometimes I can switch back and forth but the audio output has lots of crackling in it. And sometime the sampling rate switches just fine, even can have bother Sonar (@48) and Windows Media (@44.1) open at the same time and switching between apps also switches sampling rates just fine.
So I attempt to close anything using sound and open PCI Audio Console to manually switch the sampling rate but I get
"Audiowire card is currenty in use, quit other applications" message but I can't find anything to shut down.
In the end forced to reboot ... not the most impressive thing to attract clients with
So, any ideas how to make it more consistent or at least how to manually set the rate correctly to keep working without reboot?
